Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) is a premier industry body devoted to furthering the cause of rural marketing. Since its inception in the year 2005, RMAI has been helping marketers plan and implement their rural marketing activities across the country.

Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) is a national industry body with a membership base of more than 70 companies that promotes the cause of promoting rural marketing. With 12.2% of the world’s population, rural India represents the single largest potential market and accounts for 53% of FMCGs and 59% of durables sale in India. The rural market has therefore become vital for the growth of most companies.

With the growing importance of the Rural Markets in corporate marketing strategies, there is an increased recognition of rural specialists in helping companies plan and implement their rural marketing activities.

This has resulted in a number of players, both big and small entering the field in the last couple of years. A few leading players who have been providing tremendous value added rural marketing services all across the country decided to come together on a common platform and work towards recognition, credibility and meeting of needs of the Rural Marketing industry.

Thus, giving birth to Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI). RMAI is the Rural Marketing Association of India. Formed in March 2005, the association aims to promote, improve, develop and further the cause of rural marketing in India.
Sa-Dhan oldest and only model neutral national level Association of Community Development Finance Institutions has its presence of a decade and half. At present Sa-Dhan has 242 members reaching across 21 states (presence in more than 70% of the poorest districts of India) with membership of NGO-MFIs, NBFC-MFIs, banks, bulk lenders, Self Help Promoting Institutions, capacity building providers and technical service providers. Sa-Dhan is uniquely positioned because of its recognition by government as sectoral representative, arising from its diverse membership, has positive influence on ground practice and also critically contribute in influencing the policy makers. Sa-Dhan has been critical in framing positive policy environment, capacity enhancement and standard setting for the microfinance sector. Sa-Dhan had framed first Code of Conduct for the sector and been acknowledged by RBI; it is instrumental in dialogue to revive the funds to the sector. Bharat Microfinance Report is the only national level yearly financial analytics in the sector published by Sa-Dhan. Apart from other regular activities Sa-Dhan is facilitating Inclusive Credit Information Bureau for the microfinance sector in association with the regulators and lenders.
